Showing the sections that apply to your service. View the full agreement.
This Service Agreement and Liability Waiver ("Agreement") is between Slipstream Detailing LLC, 10336 Quest Dr, Frisco, TX 75035 ("Slipstream," "we," "us") and the customer named on the quote, invoice or work order ("you"). It applies to every service we perform on your vehicle, including detailing, paint correction, ceramic coating, window tint installation, window tint removal, vinyl wrap or paint protection film ("PPF") installation, and vinyl or PPF removal.
You accept this Agreement when you approve a quote, pay a deposit, or leave your vehicle with us for service. Approving online by checking the agreement box and typing your name is your electronic signature and has the same effect as signing on paper. If you are not the vehicle's owner, you confirm you have the owner's permission to authorize the work and to accept this Agreement for them.
1. Vehicle condition and pre-existing issues
Vehicles often have problems that are not visible until cleaning, polishing or film work begins. We may inspect and photograph your vehicle at drop-off. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, including chips, scratches, dents, curb rash, failing or thin clear coat, prior repaints or body work, faded or oxidized paint, loose or aftermarket trim, emblems or parts, cracked or pitted glass, worn interior materials, prior water leaks, electrical faults, warning lights, or mechanical problems. Cleaning can reveal damage that dirt was hiding; that damage was already there.
2. Personal belongings
Please remove valuables, cash, documents, child seats, garage openers and personal items before drop-off. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
3. Detailing, paint correction and ceramic coating
- Results vary. We will use professional care, but we cannot guarantee complete removal of every stain, odor, scratch, swirl, water spot, etching or defect. Deep scratches, rock chips, and damage through the clear coat cannot be polished out.
- Paint thickness. Polishing removes a small amount of clear coat. Thin, repainted, single-stage or previously over-polished paint carries a higher risk of burn-through or haze. We may stop or limit correction on any panel we believe is unsafe to polish.
- Water and chemicals. Washing, steam and extraction can expose existing leaks, loose seals or failing electronics. Cleaning products can affect already damaged, sun-rotted, dyed or poorly repaired surfaces.
- Ceramic coating. Coatings need time to cure. Follow the aftercare instructions you receive. Coating warranties are provided by the coating manufacturer, apply only to the specific product and term on your invoice, and require the maintenance described in the warranty.
4. Window tint installation
- Texas tint laws. Texas law limits how dark tint can be, including on the windshield and front side windows (Texas Transportation Code §547.613). You choose your film and shade. You are responsible for making sure your tint complies with the law where you drive, and for any citation, inspection failure or required removal. If you have a medical exemption, you must obtain and carry it yourself.
- Curing. Small water pockets, haze or streaks are normal for several days while the film cures. Do not roll windows down for at least 3 to 5 days, or as instructed.
- Glass and components. We are not responsible for existing chips, cracks, scratches, delaminated glass, or window regulators, motors, seals, trim, sensors or antennas that are worn, loose or already damaged.
- Film warranty. Film warranties are provided by the film manufacturer for the product listed on your invoice.
5. Window tint removal
Old film, especially film that is aged, sun-baked or poorly installed, can be bonded tightly to the glass. Removing tint can damage rear-window defroster lines, embedded antennas and glass coatings, and can leave adhesive residue. We use careful methods, but we are not responsible for defroster, antenna or glass damage caused by removing existing film, and we cannot guarantee that every trace of adhesive will come off.
6. Vinyl wrap and PPF removal
Removing vinyl or PPF can pull up paint or clear coat, especially on repainted, resprayed, aftermarket, poorly bonded, chipped or sun-damaged panels, and on film that has been on the vehicle a long time. Removal may leave adhesive residue or reveal uneven fading ("ghost lines") where the film covered the paint. We are not responsible for paint, clear coat or trim that lifts during removal, or for fade differences that were hidden under the film.
7. Vinyl wrap and PPF installation
- Normal installation characteristics include relief cuts, seams, wrapped or trimmed edges, small dust specks, and minor lifting on complex curves. These are not defects.
- Trimming. Film may be trimmed on the vehicle. We use care and knifeless tape where practical, but small marks along edges can occur.
- Repainted or damaged paint. Film adhesive may not bond well to, and may later lift from, repainted, aftermarket, or damaged paint. Future removal from those panels carries the paint risks in Section 6.
- Parts. We may remove and reinstall emblems, badges, trim, lights or similar parts. Old clips, tape and fasteners can break; we are not responsible for parts that are brittle, already broken or not reusable.
- Film warranty. Film warranties are provided by the film manufacturer and cover the product, not damage from accidents, misuse or improper care.
8. Release and waiver of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY TEXAS LAW, YOU RELEASE AND AGREE NOT TO SUE SLIPSTREAM DETAILING LLC, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, CLAIM OR EXPENSE ARISING FROM THE RISKS DESCRIBED IN THIS AGREEMENT, INCLUDING CLAIMS CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY OUR OWN NEGLIGENCE. THIS RELEASE DOES NOT APPLY TO DAMAGE CAUSED BY OUR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT.
9. Limit on our liability
IF WE ARE FOUND RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE THAT CAUSED IT. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSSES SUCH AS LOSS OF USE, RENTAL CARS, LOST TIME OR DIMINISHED VALUE.
If you believe we damaged your vehicle, tell us before leaving with the vehicle or within 48 hours, and give us a reasonable chance to inspect it and make it right before you have anyone else repair it.
10. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses if a third party (for example, a lender, lessor or another owner) makes a claim because you authorized work you did not have permission to approve, or because of tint or film choices you made that do not comply with the law.
11. Deposits, scheduling and payment
- Deposits reserve your appointment and are applied to your final invoice.
- To cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours' notice. Deposits for appointments canceled with less notice, or missed without notice, may be kept to cover the reserved time and any materials ordered for your vehicle.
- The balance is due when the work is complete, before the vehicle is released.
- Vehicles not picked up within 3 days after we tell you they are ready may be charged a reasonable storage fee. Texas law may give us a lien on the vehicle for unpaid work and storage.
12. Photos
We may photograph your vehicle to document its condition and our work, and may use photos that do not show license plates or personal information in our marketing. Tell us if you would prefer we not use photos of your vehicle.
13. General terms
This Agreement is governed by Texas law. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Collin County, Texas. If any part of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. This Agreement, together with your quote or invoice, is the entire agreement for your service. Any specific terms on your quote or invoice apply in addition to this Agreement.
